All the fun of setting up

Arriving at Mayflower Park, the walkways and traffic routes are covered in parked cars and lorries unloading.

Our stand area has a large van parked on it.  Moving the van is not easy as, by now, 8 or 10 vehicles have backed up behind us and are now driverless.

There is frantic activity on the larger stands with painters and carpenters dashing backwards and forwards trying to finish everything on time.  It's hard to believe that in two days time all this will be pristine and ready for visitors.

We erect our event tent, assemble the desks and unload most of our stock and equipment within two hours.  It then takes a good hour to move the vast collection of vans and cars that have boxed us in.

Back in the office, a list is drawn up of all the things we forgot to take.  Looking at the weather reports, waterproofs might be a good idea. Excitement is building as we wait for the opening day.

Find out all the details as we report back from the show every day.
