If you’re looking for something special to do to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee or just fancy doing something a bit different this year then why not sign up for the RYA’s Passage to Portland event.
 
The RYA will be celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the forthcoming London 2012 sailing events over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend (2-5 June), with a whole host of activities and events.
 
The weekend’s celebrations centre around a British Street Party themed event at Portland Castle following a TV screening of the Thames Jubilee Pageant earlier in the day.

Drawing to a close on Sunday, the 2012 Tullett Prebon London Boat Show has started the Olympic year successfully for the leisure marine industry with strong, positive feedback from both visitors and exhibitors. 

A total of 134,753 visited ExCeL London across the 10 days to enjoy five Shows in one*, with 102,841 enjoying a specific trip to the Boat Show.
 
Despite the difficult financial climate, this puts the 2012 Show just 6% behind last year’s attendance and slightly ahead of 2010.  The Show continues to be a resilient and evolving event, in line with industry demand, with sales figures proving better than expected for many.
 
The Show, as always, with interactive and educational features, continues to impress and entertain visitors.

Annabel Vose (17) and Megan Brickwood (16) from Southampton were presented with the prestigious YJA Pantaenius Young Sailor of the Year Award for 2011 at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show on Saturday 7th January 2012. 

The award was presented by Skandia Team GBR’s Iain Percy OBE.
 
Annabel and Megan started 2011 by winning the Ladies World Title in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the 420 World Championships at just 16 years of age and despite having suffered a broken mast in one race. 

They then went on to win Silver and were 1st female crew at the Flanders Youth Regatta and won the Bronze medal at the 2011 Open 420 Junior European Championships.

At this year’s Tullett Prebon London Boat Show, Ultrasonic Antifouling Ltd (UAL) announces that its innovative Ultra System continues to prove its effectiveness in preventing underwater fouling as boat owners give glowing testimonials after lifting their boats for the first time since installation.

The Show will kick off the UK’s sporting calendar in true British style as well as supporting the nation’s best-in-class sailing and watersports champions.
