Sperry Top-Sider®, a leading global nautical performance and lifestyle brand, announces that one of its sponsored Match Racing teams, led by Anna Tunnicliffe has won the 2011 US Olympic Team Qualifying Regatta in Florida.

Their win, which dramatically concluded after five exhausting days of racing, means Tunnicliffe along with her teammates Molly Vandemoer and Debbie Capozzi will represent the US at the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships, being held in December.

In addition, another of Team Sperry Top-Sider’s sponsored Match Racing Teams took third place in the US Olympic Team Qualifying Regatta. Sally Barkow with teammates Elizabeth Kratzing-Burnham and Alana O’Reilly won the final match of the semi-finals to claim bronze.

The first and third places awarded to the two US Match Racing teams means that they will both go through to the 2012 Olympic Team Qualifying Regatta scheduled to take place in May at the Olympic sailing venue of Weymouth and Portland. The overall winner of this event will represent the US at the 2012 Olympic Games.
