Versatile and super lightweight mid layer jacket

The i5 Headwind Jacket is a dynamic mid-layer product that uses innovative technology to keep the user in the comfort zone.

Responding to changing weather conditions, the i5 Headwind Jacket self-adjusts using an Intelligent Thermoregulation System - a dynamic, breathable material which adjusts against fluctuating temperatures to keep your body regulated and comfortable.

The thermal ‘gates’ or microspaces in between fibres in the i5 Headwind Jacket create a dynamic structure, and ‘close up’ when colder to achieve maximum thermal efficiency, and ‘open’ when warmer to allow excess heat to escape.

Maximum traction and swift movement

Getting the right footwear is of the utmost importance and the Gill Skiff Boot is perfect for the fast-paced, highly agile world of the performance skiff racer. This lightweight boot has an internal split toe design for maximum traction and swift movement around the boat. The thin sole design allows you to ‘feel’ the boat and ensures that as much of your foot is in contact with the boat at any one time.

The 4mm double lined neoprene boots contain a thermal lining and glued and blindstitched waterproof seams for warmth yet remain lightweight.

The Skiff Boot has a reinforced instep, toe and heel areas for maximum support and protection and the non marking natural rubber sole provides excellent grip for any high performance sailor.

Gill is proud to announce the appointment of Ryan Jamison as Marketing Executive. Joining the busy Marketing Department, Ryan will work alongside Jenny Hunter in driving forward and developing the Gill brand.

Ryan initially worked in Graphic Design for 6 years, working with well-known brands including Caterpillar, Boots and Selfridges before pursuing his career in sales and marketing. This led to Ryan’s appointment as a Sales Executive for Gill in the export department.

The valuable 5 years spent with Gill means Ryan rejoins the team already being familiar with Gill and all products through former experience and involvement in the large Gill distributor network and branding of stores and the many exhibitions that Gill is involved with every year.

A combination of cutting edge materials and functional design

Back by popular demand into the 2011 Dinghy Range, the Gill Hurakan Long John wetsuit offers the sailing enthusiast a combination of cutting edge materials and functional design.

Developed and designed specially for dinghy sailing, this 3/2mm neoprene suit offers protection from water, the cold and wear generated through contact with the boat.

The X4 Flex panels create a super stretchy suit, allowing complete freedom of movement and eliminate the need for uncomfortable seams and a zip.

Thermal stretch layer that repels water

Hydrophobic by definition means water repelling – and that is exactly what the new Hydrophobe range from Gill is designed to do.

It is a thermal stretch layer that is naturally hydrophobic ensuring that it stays lightweight and comfortable to wear even in really wet conditions.

Unlike a neoprene based material however, the polypropylene material also wicks moisture away from the skin – breathing just the same as any technical base layer, so that you stay at the right temperature and remain comfortable at all times.

Technically it is a base layer for dinghy sailors.
