THE NEW GEONAV G12 MULTI-FUNCTION DISPLAY

Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show, 8th - 17th January 2010 Stand : SO23K

Geonav® launches its stunning new G12 Multi-Function Display (MFD) to the UK market at this years London Boat Show. As part of a completely new range of integrating marine electronics from this innovative company, the G12 MFD includes a host of exclusive features including BlueLogic(TM) User Interface, DualFuel(TM) Cartography, built-in XD Sonar and an impressive stylish, ergonomic design.

With a choice of 15" and 19" displays and the option of a frameless 19" for glass bridge integration, the G12 MFD is the centerpiece of Geonav's stylish on board navigation range. The G12 has a 50 channel GPS and is one of the first Chartplotters to offer a choice of cartography from the two leaders in electronic charting; Navionics® and C-MAP by Jeppesen®. The G12 comes with built-in reference charts from both C-MAP and Navionics and highly detailed charts are available from their respective worldwide chart catalogues. The unique QuickConnect(TM) Data Port offers the first ever double-waterproof front-panel USB access, plus two SD card slots.

The G12 is also the first MFD in its class with built-in sonar (Echo Sounder and Fish Finding) eliminating the need for a black-box. XD Sonar  is a dual-frequency, 2kW transceiver (200/50 kHz) that provides precise readings up to 1,000 metres. The BackTrack Data Recall(TM) feature allows boaters to easily review the sonar history. Plus, with integrated waypoint storage, instant screen capture, sonar zoom and customizable colour palette, the XD sonar is fully equipped for fishing and cruising.

The display can be integrated to Geonav's HD Ethernet Radar, AIS, and GeoSat TV. A simple and modern user interface called BlueLogic(TM)has been developed providing colourful graphics and animation making the G12 simple to operate with an ergonomic control panel and positive tactile controls. With the use of smart menus, operation is completely intuitive. A design highlight is the backlit LED rotary controls which provide attractive accents and better operation at night.

Part of the BlueLogic(TM)User Interface includes Geonav's unique Pane Manager and HaloView Rotation(TM), a feature that allows display panes and information to be customized to individual use.

With the industry's most powerful embedded processor and high-speed memory, the G12 refreshes all views of charting, radar, sonar, AIS and sensor data in an instant.  The UltraClear Display(TM) provides superb clarity using a bonded glass XGA display which has been optically enhanced to eliminate misting problems and remain clearly viewable in all conditions from direct sunlight to the black of night.

The Geonav G12 takes navigation technology to a new level of performance and styling and can be seen on the Johnson Outdoors stand SO23K at the London Boat Show 2010.
