MORE GOOD NEWS FROM FOUNTAINE PAJOT

Factory redevelopment reduces build costs and 2009 price tags

Hot on the heels of their excellent financial figures for 2008, Fountaine Pajot – the world’s most experienced builder of cruising catamarans – has just revealed more good news for 2009 that’s sure to please multihull buyers all over the world.

“It was great to be able to release such strong financial figures for 2008 just before the London Boat Show, they were a real boost for the worldwide dealer network,” says Carl Livett, MD of M.i.Cats, the UK’s sole Fountaine Pajot dealer. “It’s even better to start 2009 with more good news. Advances at the factory mean that we can now pass on significant savings to our customers.”

The latest report to emerge from its headquarters in La Rochelle, is that Fountaine Pajot’s re-development programme has allowed the firm to cut production costs for its range of sailing catamarans. What’s more, the production savings are being passed-on to customers with a corresponding price reduction.

“The significant investments in our production facilities, especially in the deck injection-moulding processes, have allowed us to add even more value in this buyers’ market,” says Eric Bruneel, General Director of Fountaine Pajot. “Sales from our autumn boat shows, including Paris and Annapolis, were also up on last year, proving that the cruising catamaran segment remains strong,” he concluded.

The new price reductions are on top of the ‘Boat Show Deals’ announced at ExCeL which include free packages of optional equipment worth, for example: €7,500 on the Mahé 36 and €11,500 on the Orana 44.

This means that you can now get a well-appointed Mahé 36 for €165,000 or an Orana 44 for €335,000 – reductions from the 2008 pricelist of up to €16,425 and €13,400 respectively.

There is also a substantial ‘M.i. Welcome Pack’ – €15,000 worth of free equipment – on offer with every new Salina 48. For a full breakdown of the latest prices get in touch with the M.i.Cats team at Birdham near Chichester on Tel: 01243 512 111.
