SEA RAY 305 SUNDANCER MAKES WORLD DEBUT AT SIBS 2009

Marina Marbella, Europe’s biggest motorboat retailer, will be unveiling the world’s first Sea Ray 305 Sundancer at the 2009 Southampton International Boat Show.

Developed specifically for the European market, the 305 Sundancer is also Sea Ray’s first ever hard-top sports boat. The latest addition to the fleet combines the best features of Sea Ray’s Sports Cruiser range with the big-boat features of its Sports Yacht range.

Like other Sundancer models, the new 305 shares Sea Ray’s unmistakable arching deck line and other sporty design cues. However, over the cockpit, the new boat takes the extended radar arch seen in larger models one step further. The feature usually combines an open helm position with a sheltered but spacious saloon, but in the 305 it has evolved into a fully-enclosed hard top. The helm position has been enclosed without compromising interior space, visibility or the Sundancer’s distinctive sporty profile.

“Open sports boats are great - when the weather is great,” explains Chris Owen, General Manager of Marina Marbella (UK). “But owners in Northern Europe have been crying-out for a small Sea Ray that will be a joy to drive any time of the year. Until now, if you wanted to experience an all-weather helm in the Sea Ray range, you had to step-up all the way to a 47-foot Sundancer in the Sports Yacht range - a world away from a 30-foot sports boat.”

The model will make its world debut at the 2009 Southampton International Boat Show (11th-20th September) on stand E057, where the price will also be revealed. For more information about the new boat or to arrange your own VIP viewing, please contact Chris Owen or Anne-Marie Rowntree at the numbers below. The boat will also be available for sea-trial out of Hamble Point Marina following the boat show.
