National Boat Shows (NBS) is delighted to announce HMS Westminster as the Royal Naval Warship on display at the London International Boat Show, 9-18 January 2009.
HMS Westminster, a type 23 Frigate, was launched in 1992 and commissioned into service in 1994.
The highly versatile multi-role warship can take on any mission from anti-ship and anti-submarine warfare protecting capital ships and merchantmen; to providing humanitarian aid in the wake of a natural disaster.

The ocean rowing world’s latest recruit, Sarah Outen, takes to the Main Stage – powered by Fairline at the 2009 London International Boat Show in January to give visitors an insight into life as an ocean rower.
Appearing alongside Britain’s boating heroes Dame Ellen MacArthur, Sir Keith Mills and Geoff Holt, Sarah Outen will be a name to remember.

As the London International Boat Show prepares to return to ExCeL with a splash from 9-18 January 2009, National Boat Shows (NBS) is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Bloody Mary Open Pursuit Race.
The race, now in its 36th year, is the largest inland dinghy event held in the UK and following tradition, will be held at the Queen Mary Sailing Club on the first Saturday (10 Jan) of the London International Boat Show.

No one really knew what to expect when the Sail, Power & Watersports Show rode into town last Wednesday but the consensus is that the organisers have pulled off a success story in the face of an economic downturn.
They have successfully established a marketplace that has created a cash sales environment; the tills have been ringing and buyers are using cash and it’s not ‘borrowed’ money as the banks aren’t lending says the Show’s Managing Director, James Brooke.
