SHOW HITS THE GROUND RUNNING ON THE STREETS OF LONDON
With just four weeks to go until hundreds of boats navigate their way through the streets around Earls Court in central London for the opening of the Sail, Power & Watersports Show, the first in a series of competitions in London's Evening Standard goes to press. This week Londoners have the opportunity to win a Wayfarer Dinghy, supplied by Hartley Laminates; the perfect Christmas present for a family looking to start boating. The promotion, featured in the print edition of the Evening Standard, will complement an online competition through 'thisislondon.com' that will see one lucky couple winning a two-week watersports holiday in Turkey, courtesy of Sunsail.
Mark Service, Commercial Publishing Manager at the Evening Standard said, "Thanks to the generosity of Hartley Laminates and Sunsail, our readers have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes in the first of a four week campaign leading up to the Show opening. We're very excited to be partners of the Show and to be offering our readers such a fabulous range of prizes."
Prizes galore make for major draw
Visitors to the Show also have the opportunity to win even more prizes in the Great Christmas Give Away at Earls Court. Everyone visiting the Show will have the opportunity to enter a draw and win a fabulous range of prizes on offer including sea kayaks donated by BHG Marine, Geoff Holt's new book 'Walking on Water' and a handheld GPS chart plotter donated by Garmin.
Caroline Evans, Show Sales Director said, "We're very grateful to our exhibitors for donating these prizes in spite of a tough economic climate and, as we prepare for 26th November, a wonderful spirit surrounds the Show. We're delighted that as the Show reaches capacity, a host of new exhibitors have taken space including Ovington Boats, Essex Boatyards, BHG Marine, RoyalOcean Racing Club, Sunseeker London (YachtworldBrokersVillage) and Berthon International (YachtworldBrokersVillage)".
