UK PREMIER OF THE PHILEAS OPEN 5.00 AND OPEN 5.70
Boating Sports is proud to announce that both the Phileas Open 5.00 and 5.70 will be available for viewing for the first time in the UK at the PSP Southampton Boat Show.

These boats are from the same drawing board as the Open 60’s Hugo Boss, Generali and BritAir, and are built in France by Phileas Boats The Open 5,70 is the perfect boat for sailors who have  experienced the speed and excitement of dinghies or catamarans and want to move up a notch to enter a more extreme domain. Conversely they are also the perfect boat for the yacht racer who wants to downscale but still keep the speed and entertainment.
 
With twin rudders, a glass injected fin keel with 150KG lead bulb and a pivoting wing mast, the Open 5.70
is a truly racing thoroughbred. The Open 5.00 is an extremely fast family/racing boat with an innovative
lifting keel. This is not a centerboard but a proper ballasted keel, and the ability to lift makes it possible for beaching and makes it easier for launching.
