Penzance to host SuperStockThe extreme racers of Powerboat P1 SuperStock will be kicking-off the 2010 season in the party town of Penzance. The new race series is set to take the UK by storm, with its high-octane racing and fast paced party lifestyle and it’s an event that you won’t want to miss.

The open top, two-seater, boats will be providing onlookers with a spectacular display as each team will be pushing for a first place podium finish.  SuperStock boats run a single manufacturer hull, but in two classes separated by engine power. The 150 hp 21 ft and 300 hp 27 ft classes provide some of the best racing action that you’ll ever see on a race course that’s constantly changing with wind, waves and tides adding to the drama on the race track.

As the racers compete for a podium finish, the harbour will be kept rocking by the Superstock village. Live bands and dance crews will be performing through-out the day bringing the festival vibe to the proceedings.

As the night falls, adrenaline pumping racing is always followed by adrenaline-charged partying. The Zero Lounge in the city centre will play host to the drivers VIP after-party.  Billed as the hottest bar in Penzance, it was the only choice for the SuperStock pilots and pit babes to party to the early hours.

The weekend promises to be an 80 mph non-stop blast from the marine motorsport that is come hell or high water.
