 For Rounds 5 & 6 of the 2008 Zapcat National Championship the Gods were shining down on us and gave us sun and surf for the Bournemouth Grand Prix. The sun helped pull the spectators out and Bournemouth’s beaches were lined with people watching the action from the Zapcat National Championship.

Zapcats Fly at Watergate Bay

 As I’m sure everyone will agree Rounds 3 & 4 of the Zapcat National Championship were simply fantastic. WatergateBay, Newquay hosted the weekends racing which made up not only Round 3 & 4 of the National Championship but was also Rounds 1 & 2 of the King of Surf. The waves weren’t as big as some of the racers are used to at this gorgeous location but the 2 foot swell made for some exciting racing. Along with clear sunny skies the spectators on the beach couldn’t ask for more.

Honda spreads the fleet

 The Honda Formula 4-Stroke series hit the Plymouth Sound over the weekend for the second round of its 2008 championship series. But unlike its previous racing format, the opening races in the two-day event were used as qualifiers in an effort to reduce numbers in the final heats in an effort to ease congestion on the multi-lap course.
