The Honda Formula 4-Stroke (F4SA) the World’s largest two class offshore powerboat race series are set to perform this Saturday August 29th in the Cowes Classic Powerboat Race the Cowes-Poole-Cowes.
This race forms part of the Cowes Powerboat Festival which includes the famous and legendary Cowes-Torquay-Cowes race.
As part of the Honda F4SA’s tenth year anniversary celebrations, the series have enlisted the help of TVYachts, the first dedicated television channel to showcase the world’s finest sailing and motorised yachts to be the official broadcast partner for the fourth leg of the 2009 Honda race calendar.
The company will partner with Predator Technology to capture on-board footage during the race, to film the event.
TVYachts’ filming schedule will include a behind the scenes look at the legendary Honda backed race series, with the arrival of competitors and their teams, the complete build-up of the race and interviews with the organisers, racers and F4SA Director eight time Class One offshore powerboat racing World Champion, Steve Curtis MBE, about his plans for 2010.
This ensures TVYachts, apart from the event itself, is the only place to catch all of the action; and in addition to this, as a celebration of the tenth anniversary of The Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Series and to mark the occasion, TVYachts will also be using all footage to create a special, tenth anniversary DVD.
The entire event can be seen on TVYachts, which, is broadcast on the Global Digital Broadcast (GDBTV) platform and is available online around the world, via the TVYachts.com website and GDBTV’s Go UK TV portal; and on television sets via the IPQube service in Canada, the Something TV service in UK and via the VuNow service upon launch into the UK, in September.
