Team SW1 Capital has announced a sponsorship agreement with BBLADES Professional Propellors.

After a series of propellor issues in the first half of the 2009 season effectively ended the British team's Powerboat P1 World Championship challenge in SuperSport, team owner and pilot Dan Cramphorn was advised to contact Brett Anderson at BBLADES.

It was BBLADES first foray into Powerboat P1 and coincided with a sharp upturn in fortunes for the team who subsequently won the final four races of the year to finish the season in third place in the overall standings.

In the three weeks between Italy and Sweden, BBLADES' Bob Lucht was able to repair the props that had been damaged in San Benedetto, much to Cramphorn's surprise. "What we received back I simply could not believe," he recalls.

"They were simply better than new. We won comfortably in both races in Sweden and then in Sicily.

"I just wish we had been using BBLADES for all of our requirements since the start of the season."

Anderson and Lucht have decades of experience with teams from outboard drag racers and tunnel boats to the largest offshore powerboats and even professional water-ski racers.

"We understand the pressures on a race team," says Anderson, "from tight budgets to extremely short turnaround times. We do what we can to accommodate them. You can't win sitting on the beach."

BBLADES, based in Princeton, Wisconsin, works with race teams around the world, but is selective about the teams it sponsors. "We want to make sure they are serious in their efforts to not just race, but to win.

"Team SW1 Capital came very highly recommended and has performed well. We believe they are the team to beat for 2010."
