POWERBOAT P1 GEARS UP FOR UIM ASSEMBLY

Robert Wicks is attending the UIM Assembly in ItalyRepresentatives from the Powerboat P1 World Championships are in Riccione in Italy this week for the Union Internationale Motonatique (UIM) Annual Assembly.

The conference, which took place in Australia last year, sees offshore motorsport promoters from across the globe get together to present their season reviews to the International governing body of powerboating.

The Calendar meeting will take place on Saturday 24th October, when promoters will sit down to ensure that potential date clashes with other competitions are avoided. This will be followed by the main assembly on Sunday where proposed rule changes and technical regulations for the upcoming season will be put to the Union.

Powerboat P1 Commercial Director Robert Wicks is attending the assembly week: "The UIM Annual Assembly is an extremely important event for all those involved. We have a few plans in terms of changes to the rules and points scoring system for the 2010 Powerboat P1 season and we're hopeful that these with be ratified by the UIM."
