POWERBOAT P1 - GREVE PROMISES A STRONGER CHALLENGE IN 2010

#66 Cranefields Wine owner Siegfried Greve has vowed that his team will come back stronger following a disappointing 2009 in the Powerboat P1 World Championship.

The German team experienced an indifferent season in the Evolution category, ending the year in seventh place and without a podium finish to their name.

However, Greve is confident his team can bounce back: "We may have had a bad season but we have decided to return and we're confident results will improve in 2010. This team has a great deal of potential and our motivation is as strong as ever.

"In the opening round of 2009 in Malta, we suffered damage to the engine of the new SEAREX Falcon Evo 43 boat and had to resort to using the previous year's model, which was obviously a big set-back for us."

Following promising initial testing on the Baltic Sea, the SEAREX team recently showcased the 2010 Cranefields Wine boat to thousands of fans and enthusiasts at the 'Hanseboot' 50th Annual boatfair in Hamburg, Germany.

Greve added: "The boat is looking good, and everyone is working hard to ensure that the problems we encountered last year don't repeat themselves in 2010. Hopefully we will have a bit more luck and find ourselves challenging for the title."
