Shelley Jory, one part of Powerboat P1's only all-female team, has officially become Mrs Jory-Leigh after she married marine engineer, Trevor, at Wimborne Minster last week.
The congregation of family and friends included world powerboat champions Steve Curtis, Peter Phillipson and Neil Holmes along with a number of familiar faces from the Powerboat P1 circuit.
The wedding party all enjoyed several special moments during the service, including a traditional reading by managing director of Honda (UK), Ken Keir, a solo rendition of the song "People" by David Curtis, "Pie Jesu," sung by the Choir of the Wimborne Minster, and a poignant "nautical" reading, written and read by Shelley's BBC Radio H2O co-presenter, Tracey Clarke.
Shelley and Trevor are set to retain the nautical theme of their romance by jumping on board a boat for their honeymoon. However, rather than Shelley's Ikocasa powerboat, the couple have opted for a cruise around the Caribbean aboard the Queen Mary 2 instead.
Everyone at Powerboat P1 wishes Shelley and Trevor a long and happy future together!
