The Sound is Revving up for Honda F4SA Race Weekend.

Plymothian competitors Negotiator and Scream-it.com, both from the Honda 225hp class were seen practicing out in the Sound with journalists and presenters onboard for the ride. Local weather presenter Kate Reeve from ITV West Country even turned up to present the weather from Queen Anne’s Battery where all the action is starting to build.

Navigator Nathan Libby was present to show of the 2007 Championship winning boat Negotiator. Nathan swopped roles for the afternoon when he took to the driver’s seat to test the race course in preparation for the weekend ahead. “It is great to be racing in my home town, both Gavin and I are pleased to be back and we will be putting on a great show to defend our 2007 title here in Plymouth”. said Nathan.

With journalists and television crews literally being flung across Plymouth Sound, the sight was a spectacle which has set the scene of what is to come this weekend. The racing begins this Saturday at 11am and can be viewed from the Hoe and surrounding areas.

Abbie James, Pr and Marketing Officer for the Honda backed series said, “It has been a great day. So many people are interested in this Honda backed series. We have put a lot of effort into making this weekend a great family event and I would encourage everyone to come along as this weekend will be brilliant, I am very excited”.

Spectators will be able to watch the race action from the Hoe and surrounding areas as the boats take to the water to entertain the crowds. The racing starts at 11am on Saturday 14th June and continues throughout the weekend finishing on Sunday with a prize giving ceremony for the winning teams at the Waterfront Restaurant on Grand Parade at 6pm.
