Newly-crowned Evolution class champions James Sheppard and Craig Wilson are set to join a host of celebrities and title winners from the wider world when they attend the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony.

The #99 Fountain Worldwide 1st4boats.com duo will attend the event – one of Britain’s most popular sports awards ceremonies – at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Sunday, 14 December.

Among the sports stars bidding for the coveted, main BBC Sports Personality of the Year prize are Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, boxer Joe Calzaghe and a crop of gold medal-winning Team GB medallists from this year’s Olympic Games in Beijing.

Last year, Sheppard and Wilson celebrated their first Evolution class title success by meeting and chatting with a host of the stars attending the event, including Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave and World Superbike champion James Toseland.

No doubt they’ll be looking to add a few more names to the photo album this year as they celebrate their incredible back-to-back title success.
