Victory Team’s managing director, Khalfan Harib, was full of praise for his World Championship winning team, following their success in yesterday’s Mina Seyahi Grand Prix, which secured the Dubai team their eighth world crown.

Harib, who led the team to their first of many trophies, won his first world title as a driver in 1993 and his second in 2000 as a throttleman, believes the team has a great future.  “This shows that the Victory Team is as competitive now as we were back in 1993 when we started this Class 1 journey.

“We had a run of bad years when we couldn’t win the title, but we had the strength to bounce back.  The four guys in the boat - and Arif Al Zafeen – have a great future and it’s down to them, the team management, the brilliant mechanics, the logistics and back room staff that we have enjoyed the most reliable set-up this year.”
