New British SuperSport class contenders #26 Team Donzi spent last weekend testing their new Donzi 38 ZRC hull and engines in Belgium. The crew of Daniel Cramphorn and Kim Collins gave the editor of World of Powerboats magazine, David Sewell, a taste of their new campaign for the 2009 Powerboat P1 season at the same time.

The #26 Team Donzi squad contested the last two events of 2008 as a Wild Card entry with the #26 Team Konrad Velocity boat, but have swapped to a new Donzi 38 ZRC hull for 2009. The boat has been re-rigged over the last two months by Nico Bertels in Klein Willenbroek, Belgium.

Although the team won’t be revealing their engine choice for 2009 until mid-March, they are positive – after early straight-line testing – that the new powerplants have serious potential, and could help the team start its first full season in style.
