Jan Falkowski and Drew Langdon were delighted with their weekend's racingA sensational comeback from Bullet Racing’s #47 Silverline hull scored the British team’s first podium ofthe 2009 Powerboat P1 World Championship season in Malta.

After Saturday’s disappointing fourth place finish in Saturday's first round Sprint Race, Silverline showed its reliable colours streaking past Nigel Hook Racing’s #77 Lucas Oil Budweiser powerboat only two laps from the chequered flag to take second place in Sunday's Endurance race.

It ensured pilot Jan Falkowski and throttleman Drew Langdon finished third in the weekend’s overall Malta Grand Prix of the Sea championship standings. A delighted Falkowski said: ”We couldn’t have asked for more than a podium place at the first Grand Prix of the season. It’s been a great starting weekend of the season."

Now with their bow pointing towards June's trip to Turkey, Falkowski added: “We’d like to finish on the podium at every Grand Prix but it’s a very competitive Evolution class. For a new rig, it’s been an outstanding weekend.”
