Giorgioffshore will be looking to extend their run of good form in the BMW Norwegian Grand Prix in Arendal, with throttleman Nicola Giorgi, confirming that the team will again call on the services of test driver, Riccardo Calugi, to make only his second start in Class 1.

The team hit a rich vein of form in Dubai at the end of 2008, taking a podium in the penultimate race of the year and followed it up in this year’s season-opener in Qatar with an impressive fifth place.  “We have been approached by several pilots in recent weeks, but are still evaluating our options,” said Nicola.  “Ricardo did a great job in his first race with me, so it makes sense to keep the partnership together and with more time on the water we can only improve.

“Overall the boat is running well and we are always looking to improve our performance.  I think Arendal will be a good circuit for us.  It is a fast course, with long straights and, as we showed in Qatar, we have good top end speed.”
