CLASS 1 POWERBOATS - BAD WEATHER FORCES ORGANISERS TO CANCEL QUALIFYING AND RACE 1

Severe weather conditions have forced organisers and officials to cancel today's official qualifying session in the Edox Pole Position and race 1 of the BMW Norwegian Grand Prix .

The poor visibility and torrential rain, which led to the cancellation of the morning's activities, refused to abate and after waiting until mid-afternoon to see if conditions improved the organisers were eventually forced to cancel race 1 of the BMW Norwegian Grand Prix in the interests of driver safety.

Tomorrow's programme sees official practice extended by half-an-hour and will now run from 0930hrs to 1100hrs. Times set in the session will denote the starting line-up for the revised BMW Norwegian Grand Prix at 14.30hrs, with the race-distance increased to 17 laps, 96.31Nm, including two long laps and start lap.
