"It has been a huge challenge getting the boat ready."
Those are the thoughts of Daniel Cramphorn, Team Principal of #26 Team SW1 Capital, who's boat was involved in an accident while in transit from San Benedetto del Tronto (see Grant Hills: Hero of the Hour)
"Basically, we have had just three weeks to squeeze in six weeks' worth of work," recalls Cramphorn. "There have been lots of early mornings and late nights. As you might expect, there has been plenty of hard work."
Having declared that the boat is in great condition ahead of the Scandinavian Grand Prix of the Sea in Gothenburg, the team were handed a further boost when it was announced a new partnership deal had been agreed with BBlades Professional Propellors. The Wisconsin-based company will provide all of the props for the Donzi hull in exchange for having the company's logo on the boat.
"We have now sorted all of the mechanical issues with the boat and are just awaiting a few bits for the boat from the United States. Once received, we will be ready for action."
The 30-year-old is adamant that his team has the capability of dominating the final four races in the Supersport class, though is resigned to the fact a Championship tilt may now be beyond them.
"We are very confident ahead of Gothenburg that we can show our true potential - the plan for the rest of the season is to win every race. It is a goal we definitely think is achievable.
"It has been incredibly frustrating as it is now looking unlikely that we can win the title unless the other team's encounter problems.
"We do not necessarily need good luck, we could just do without bad luck!"
