All you can really say about Plymouth on Saturday was that it rained, rained and then rained some more… some Zapcats did some racing but mostly it rained.

Despite the hideous weather Nial and James who were back in div two (after Nials injured ribs at Bournemouth halted their racing) managed to get first place in every race including the final.

We were racing a new venue that hadn't been raced for 9 years. We were the first class to race this venue from the shore line.

Saturday morning, we hit the dry pits where we had to launch the boat and at a maximum of 6 knots drove around to the wet pits by the track in the Hoe.

The weather was terrible, raining, overcast, we could hardly see where we were going.

It was really exciting to be going to a first time venue and everything looked really good apart from the weather for the weekend.

Saturday we went out in our heats only to look across to see the Randall and Payne boys alongside us off the start in their nice new shiny hull.

Hi all sorry we missed the blog after Bournemouth things have been rather busy.

Bournemouth was a good weekend, it was my birthday weekend and we had a our sights set on the win again.

We damaged a prop guard and towards the first part of the day we couldn’t get settled in the boat again.

After having 2 rounds at Watergate Bay with reasonably good surf (well lets say enough to see the surfers with a tear in their eye after being told that the surf is used for ZapcCat racing only, and the fact it was the biggest surf they have seen there in weeks) meant that Dan and I were expecting an awesome couple of days racing!
