After Team Bladerun put in a very professional weekends racing in Edinburgh, Blue Sheets 1 have been working hard along with the other Blue Sheets teams to get their fleet back up to the heights that they had been achieving.

Nial, and Dan have both been joined by a new co-pilot for Prestatyn, with Nial being accompanied in the boat by Aaron Joyce who, although has only one weekends racing under his belt, is very experienced, taking his place as a previous National Champions practice co-pilot for the previous two years, while Dan will be joined by returning National Champion Baz Minns looking to create a winning team.

In an attempt to acclimatise to the North Wales climate, Rob attempted to summit the highest mountain in Wales to prepare for the latest round of the 2010 National Zapcat Championship.

The next round of racing is to take place on the North Wales coast resort of Prestatyn, and after the previous two grand prix’s being raced on flat water he thought he would toughen himself up to the Welsh weather by tackling Snowdon.

The windy course consisted of two technical legs, a pit lap, and a long drag into a crosswind with considerable gusts really testing the crews.

It nearly happened.  Thursday night and only 2 team members out of 6 had their Gill racing gear.  Someone (no names mentioned) was meant to ask their father to drop by and pick up the remaining drysuits, wetsuits, boots, gloves and rash vest.......but forgot.

A quick call round confirmed that anyone with a vehicle was on their way up to Edinburgh and our options were running out.

Our teams can't race in any other brands so it was either find a way to get the gear to Edinburgh in a hurry or a case of bikini racing at short notice.
