Hi all sorry we missed the blog after Bournemouth things have been rather busy.
Bournemouth was a good weekend, it was my birthday weekend and we had a our sights set on the win again.
We damaged a prop guard and towards the first part of the day we couldn’t get settled in the boat again.
We had some really good battles with Boat 25 Rana Park and they managed to break our winning streak of heats from that had been running from the beginning of the season.
Robbie decided to try waterskiing in one of our heats instead of being completely in the boat at the start of the race so we landed a DQ, maybe I was a little over zealous on the throttle!
Our DQ meant going into the final we missed out on our normal pole position start place on the grid, which meant a pack to contend with and a different race game plan.
It also meant I had to clear my head so that I didn’t start the final with the red mist flowing and be focused on the challenge ahead to go from 6th place on the grid and to take the win which with a fantastic start from us both we succeeded in doing.
Sunday saw me and Robbie get back on form and win all heats and the final again which we were really chuffed with.
