It was really exciting to be going to a first time venue and everything looked really good apart from the weather for the weekend.
Saturday we went out in our heats only to look across to see the Randall and Payne boys alongside us off the start in their nice new shiny hull.
We had some really great battles all weekend with these guys and fair play to them they did get a win over us in a couple of heats, they raced really well.
As the weekend went on the conditions got rougher which me and Robbie really love as we thrive in the rough chop as it gives us more to think about.
In Practice on Sunday we promised Richie from Go Commando that I’d take his boat for a spin and have a race round the course with him in my boat with my co pilot.
We got out there side by side and then gave him a quick wave good bye and proceeded to leave him in the wake of his own boat.
We had a really good days racing all day Sunday and loved the rough breezy conditions.
We will be more than happy to race again in Plymouth as long as the weather is warm but with some rough waters.
