"It's less than a week until Fistral, first race of the season, last minute checks have been made, and boat is packed up and ready to go. The weather looks settled, and the surf getting bigger as the weekend progresses. It promises to be a spectacular event.

The event will have TV coverage to be aired internationally later in the year, as well as live streaming available on the Zapcat website on both Saturday and Sunday. The surf is hopefully materialising for the weekend, and Friday practice will kick off the Saint Georges Day celebrations on the beach, followed by a parade in the evening through Newquay town centre.

Blue sheets will be on Fistral beach all weekend, displaying new paint jobs all round, on Nial's new race truck, James' Bongo, and of cause the boats as well. The teams are all rearing to go, and can't wait to get the props spinning in the virgin Fistral waters for the first time, to really test the boats for what they were designed for in the pinnacle of British surf.

The event will be a great season opener, and all the teams have high hopes for a successful season ahead. Blue Sheets 1 would also like to say a big welcome to their new 2010 helmet sponsors 'Rip Raw Motorcycle Clothing'.

The racing can be followed online over the weekend LIVE at www.zapcat-racing.com.
