It nearly happened.  Thursday night and only 2 team members out of 6 had their Gill racing gear.  Someone (no names mentioned) was meant to ask their father to drop by and pick up the remaining drysuits, wetsuits, boots, gloves and rash vest.......but forgot.

A quick call round confirmed that anyone with a vehicle was on their way up to Edinburgh and our options were running out. 

Our teams can't race in any other brands so it was either find a way to get the gear to Edinburgh in a hurry or a case of bikini racing at short notice.

We found a driver who could take everything up over night but wanted £250 for the priviledge.  We then negotiated with our neighbour (a courier) who phoned round and managed to assemble a 'daisy chain' of other couriers that could get our stuff, on site by 1000 hrs on Saturday monring (a bit tight on time really).

In the end, Rob (co-pilot Blue Sheets 1) stepped up to the mark and took the box on the long train journey up to Scotland.  Thats after completing a second marathon 15 hour day job.
