The time has come to update the forum as the existing software (WebWiz) is no longer supported.
 
As such, we've had to take the tough decision to start the forum afresh with a new system.
 
You can visit the new forum at http://www.bluesheets.co.uk/dnn/racing/NewForum
 
The good news is that you can now login using your Facebook details.  You can also login using OpenID and LiveID.
 
The old forum will still be accessible as an archive but will no longer accept new posts.
 
The new forum will also have the facility to post to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc. which is handy if you selling something or asking a question.
 
As always, I welcome any feedback or ideas you may have.  I know alot of you spend time looking on this forum and I'd like to encourage you to post as well.

In view of the lack of activity over the winter/spring period, I thought it about time to ask if this forum is still needed, wanted or required.

The forum has been running since 2006 but a lot of us now use Facebook to chat, ask questions, etc. so I thought I'd put forward the following options:
 
1.  Leave the forum as it is.  We'll use it when we want to.

2.  Archive the forum and use the forum capability of Facebook on the Blue Sheets Racing page
 
3.  Forget about forums, they're old hat....
 
This forum has always been a place to get things of your chest without being watched or judged by official bodies but it only works if you use it.
 
I look forward to your thoughts.

Ok Guys so we were looking to hold a poker run around this time but due to the lovely cold weather we are looking to hold more of a jolly across to the Island this Saturday instead. At the moment its looking most likely that we will blast across to Cowes to go grab a bite to eat and a cheeky pint. It gives us all a good chance to have one last blast before the year is out and all have a chat about plans for next season.
 
We will most likely have a couple of ribs with us for some support and also another large support vessel. If your up for coming please let me know. The plan is to meet at the RYA building again in Ensign Way, Hamble. We will meet there for about 10.00 am onwards and aim to head over to the island at about 11.30.
 
It is your own responsibilty to make sure you have warm clothing and any safety equipment such as VHF should you need them.  
 
All welcome Thundercats, Jet Skis anyone with a boat that can do over 15kts.

There are other boats for sale as owners are switching to the new EVO hull to race with next year

Until the end of the year a brand new engine and EVO hull is £7990.00

includes new hydraulic damper, prop guard and Zapcat race propeller

So a typical second-hand rig including trailer should be around the £4.5k mark unless immaculate with a full service history

Boats that have not been raced or have not raced since 2006 will likely need to be fitted with a Pivot bracket to make them race legal and will be eligible for several other modifications including a new cylinder head gasket
